Arren is the self-insert character. She was taken from her home planet at a young age, experimented on and genetically altered by a mysterious organization, then dumped on a planet millions of light-years and actual years from her own. She nearly went insane when her telepathy developed, but was fortunate enough to be recognized and trained by another telepath. She also developed telekinesis and very weak pre-cognition. It didn't take many years for her to realize that she wasn't aging. She fought in two wars, developed pyrokenisis and a healing ability, and fell through several portals before being snatched up by the IRC. She now is an agent there, working to close portals and get people who are separated from their universes back to where they need to be. It's too late for her to be returned to her home universe, but it's not too late for others.

An AI created using Arren's memories. She spent some time Arren down, believing Arren had willingly created and sold her into a life of slavery. In reality, Arren had no idea Inaya even existed, and managed to free Inaya. Their relationship, though initially rocky, soon flourished. Im several cultures in the IRC, adults can adopt other adults as siblings, with all the legal priveleges of a next of kin. Inaya adopted Arren, and they became the first two Dawnsinger sisters.

 A Lemurian princess, ripped out of her world at a young age and dumped into Arren's adoptive world. Arren made sure Aroura was adopted by a good family nearby, and when it became obvious that Aroura wanted to follow in Arren's footsteps, she trained her in fighting and defending herself. A friend developed a technology that allowed Aroura to partially shift between universes to access the magic of her original world, and in this state she can access light magic. For some reason, Arren can also do this, but with many negative side effects. Arren, Aroura, and a few friends from that universe formed a band for a time before Arren joined the IRC. The third Dawnsinger sister.    

An alternate universe version of Aroura, who was also displaced but did not find Arren until much later. Her past is somewhat mysterious, but she also has access to light magic. Will one day become the next Dawnsinger sister.

A part of the mysterious organization that kidnapped Arren. At first, he tried to kill Arren when she was still learing how to use her powers. He discovered then that Arren doesn't remember anything of what happened during this time, and despite the efforts of several telepaths she is still unable to remember. He disappeared from Arren's life for a long time, and went rogue. Arren also killed him when they first met agian.
